As a MAPS subscriber, we have important information for you regarding renewing your subscription.
The Microsoft Action Pack subscription (MAPS) can be one of the most helpful tools available to you, with many Microsoft Partners citing it as a key part of their ongoing business success. We’ve listened to Partners’ wants and needs and made enhancements to the subscription along the way. We’ve also listened to Partners’ frustrations when they’ve told us, in some instances, that they lost sales opportunities when customers ordered and received MAPS. As you know, the software in MAPS is strictly for Partners internal-use and should not be used by customers.
In our ongoing efforts to maintain the subscription value to Partners and to ensure compliancy with the terms of the offering, we are reinstating the assessment requirement for renewing subscribers on January 1, 2010. Subscribers are required to take an assessment every two years and pass with a score of 70% or higher.
Currently, we show that 80% of current MAPS subscribers have met the requirement. When it’s time for you to renew, you will find a new and streamlined ordering experience. The course is 30 minutes long and you can always “test out” by going directly to the 10 question assessment.
If you have any questions about the Action Pack, the following resources are available:
· MAPS Online Technical Community: https://partner.microsoft.com/global/actionpackcommunity[l1]
· Microsoft Partner Portal: https://partner.microsoft.com/global/mapssubscription
· Regional Service Center: https://partner.microsoft.com/mapsrsc
Thank you for your continued partnership and support in delivering Microsoft technologies to our mutual customers.
